Anyone own or used a Leupold VX-R patrol scope? Thinking it

.. the VXR is good to go. Just make sure you get a reticle you like.

It's the "non-patrol" version of the one you linked. Mine has the a duplex reticle with the "firedot". Like I said before, I like it. Its tough as nails and the glass is nice. I didn't get the Patrol version because I didn't like the target turrets. I didn't want the physical bulk of them. And the Standard VXR is $100 cheaper. On low magnification I've had no issues with snap shooting or issue with two eyes open targeting. However, peeping through the scope with both eyes open isn't something I really do as my AR is setup for shooting NTCH.

at 1.5 magnification on my 1.5x/6x scope with center red dot in reticle, the contrast between scope and no scope vision with both eyes open was distracting, almost like double vision. Had to mount a mini red dot on top of scope for close up use. Your 1.25x may work better, but I would check it out before buying.

about the same thing, came of my 3 gun AR15, you're welcome to it if you want. it like brand new, only had one box of looks thru it LOL
