I have a couple of those moulds...

I made some from an alloy, not pure lead, and after modifying the mould to allow a gas check on the back of the bullet, I fired it at high velocity. I loaded it in the .510 GNR and .50-95 WCF. The bullet sports three bands of progressive larger diameters from the back.

I had plans to load (2) projectiles, one on bottom with the gas check and another ahead with no check (both weighing about 200 grs, total payload 415 grs.). They would fit in the .510 case easily and a speed of 1000-1100 fps would be easy to obtain safely. For a goof I wanted to see how close together they would hit at 25-30 yds. I may get to that one day. You could stack (3) in a .500 Nitro Express case!
