Full recoil .. nice ring of fire on the backstop

great .454 Casull explosive stills back when you didn't have all this digital jazz. I still don't know how he pulled it off.

Jim, now we know who to blame for WB as you were

his inspiration. That would scare me.

It may be partially true

I published stories about experiments I did some years ago ... before I thought better of it. Of course I once thought that people who handloaded also experimented.

I have that same gun, with a visable hammer, in .38 Spec.

I foolishly placed hard wood grips on mine. It stings bad. I tried various loads, even 200 gr. duplicates of military .38 S&W/200 at 550-600 fps. Really rough, I think it is more of a longer duration of the recoil impulse perhaps. With no weight of the chassis (12 oz.) the recoil speed is lots faster than a 24 oz. std. model. I'm now back to old standard 158 gr. JHP are usually a waste with minimal expansion, except in adds and magazine articles, minimal. I have some AA#7 and 1680 I might try but the fps is limited within a physics bracket no matter.
