If they were trying to get him out all they had to to was prop the doors and walk to the other end. Don't have that one figured out.

I've wrangled cows, horses, wild chickens all my life. You don't get in a hurry, let the animal calm a bit, judge the anxiety of the critter. We had a big Brahma bull once that would get in the pen with the cows. He was not mad or anything but the clock was ticking. When he got all he wanted he would just walk straight out, through the 2X6 fence. Not in a rush or anything just not stop and walk right through cracking boards. You should have seen my dad's face! He did that like three times while we had him. When we sold him we placed a bucket in the trailer, he walked right in. HUGE bull looked like one you'd ride in a Rodeo. The Angus were more of a hit or miss, gentle or the boss. I've been stepped on and kicked, but never gutted or tossed. Except that one old cow we tried to ride, it was too bumpy, I really just fell off that one, she was just trotting, not really bucking.

MY wife's step father had hogs, big red ones. He only had a hot wire for a fence, kept 200+ hogs. But it did kill some too.
