My slide locked open after only about 8 rounds today. Then would lock open after every round(I ended up only putting 15 or 20 through it. Now it will only open about 1/2 inch. I think I must have put the recoil spring guide in upside down when I cleaned it the other day? I did notice at one point the slide stop seemed closer to the frame than usual, so I guess that makes sense? I swear I double checked the recoil guide when I reassembled it. . .

I have done that, but always caught it. Never fired it .

the edge of a big book and break the slide free. The slide stop was very difficult to remove compared to normal. The recoil spring guide had NOT been put in upside down at least! Can the barrel rotate a little or the spring guide jump out of its groove in the barrel and cause the guide and slide stop to bind. Of course when I reassembled it everything seems to work just fine. I'm baffled.
