in the lower 48?

With all of the political BS in the news and social media I figure a good ole fashioned post about hunting is due.

The reason I state this is that the latest American Hunter has some stories of a moose hunt in Sweden, stag in Scotland and a funky turkey hunt in the Yucatan.

Since I am not made of money, what is the most exotic in the lower 48 for those who have a bit of thirst for adventure.

Thanks for the replies.

need to narrow it down. You didn't like the stories

in American Hunter because they were exotics that are expensive. Exotics here in the states are also expensive. The word exotic normally means expensive. So what exactly are you looking for?

I think that depends on where you live

A mule deer hunt might seem exotic to someone that lives in the east. To me I’ve never hunted white tail deer. For some it might be a moose hunt, but old hat to others. A alligator would be for me, but not someone in Florida. An Elk hunt on the Wallapai reservation is very expensive, but I live only a few miles from there and can hunt the same Elk for the cost of a tag. Some of the game at HHC are exotic, I’d really like to hunt more of them and a good white tail deer hunt. Only my 2 cents.

Very true Brent. I'd love a 30" muley.

those places would not allow me to handgun hunt. Correct me if I am wrong but when the EU was formed one of the gun regulation changes they adopted was no handgun hunting. Why I am not sure but some European nations allowed it others did not. Now it is across the board, so to speak.

Last May I hunted with Southern Outdoor Experience (SOE) Hunts. A 3 full hunting day Trophy Axis hunt is just shy of 3K. That is room, board, guides a trophy buck, a doe and all the hogs and yotes you can shoot. They field dress and quarter but do not have a butchering service.

You can shoot a trophy black buck for the same.

April I am doing a "meat hunt" witch is two does for $1100, rest remains the same.

It is free range, not high fence.

There's free range Aoudad in TX, that would be interesting country for a New England boy. I looked a little while ago and Sonora Coues deer wasn't too expensive. Don't know about handguns in Mexico and it seemed those were rifle range shots anyway. Also I somehow started getting email from a group in TX with a lot of land and preserve access. They have exotics. No first hand knowledge of them. www.wildlifesystems.com John, I'll forward you a couple of their emails.
