I didn't do it, but the transfer bar has a U-notch in the top that is the same size as the firing pin. If the cylinder pin is not 100% pushing out on the transfer bar it can hang a little bit rising up over the firing pin, feels notchy. Not all the time.
I found some stock parts and wanted to put it back original. It sounds like these BH parts are the correct spec. I suspect the smaller frame late model FT stuff is a bit different.
