It has the belt and fancy shoulder but is basically a 7mm mag. necked down. You can harsh on the chamber throats but it's not likely you'll shoot 1500-2000 rounds that quickly.
Back it off a little to 200 fps above the .25-06 and let it eat. The .25-06 is really about as much powder as you can "effectively" burn in a .25 bore. IMO
