Reeder Custom Guns - 25-20 WCF Coyote Classic Ballistics...

These loads great in my gun. No sizing necessary between loads. Drop dead accurate in my Reeder gun. Not recommending loads, just reporting my findings.

4.5 grn Unique, Puff-Lon on top and an 85 grn Cast produces 1200 fps.

5.0 grn Unique, Puff-Lon on top and a 55 grn HP Cast produces 1520 fps.

No leading on either load.

I can understand his hesitation with the 25-20 revolvers history. No gunsmith wants to build a gun that has such a potential for problems.

But, this gun has solved everything. You simply load ammo and shoot. No one could possibly ask for a better quality build.

Comes from effort. I'll share the credit with Dave Manson for a perfect reamer. So sorry, but I just don't believe in luck.

There is a lot of room for experimenting and learning from the 25-20 and other 25s. It's a subject touched on through the years, but not thoroughly explored. Different case designs, twist rates, bullet designs and guns. A Blackhawk based gun in 250 GNR is on my radar.

I'm particularly fond of the 218 Bee/2-20/32-20 family of cartridges.

Plus, as Gary said, there are a few surprises coming...
