Reeder Custom Guns - 25-20 Bullets...I posted a week or so back...

That I ordered some new cast 85 grainers. The picture looked like they had a much wider nose than my current bullets.

They arrived today and they, in fact, did have a much wider nose. Almost like a WFN, but with the presence of a driving band.

Measuring them, they have 70% more frontal area on the nose. I like a bullet with a wide meplat. So, these should work great.

For the doubters among us, refer to the pictures of the soap shot after using Gary's Rimfire Flattop Tool.

long range stability. But what we are messing with and the extreme end of our revolver shooting is likely 50-75 yds. distant, I bet it's just fine!

I remember an Al Goerg article where he started with a pretty SWC bullet design and found that after firing and punting down the bore it upset to form into a sort of semi-flat point glob. So much for bullet pretty.

Those .45 full wadcutters do well don't they, man what frontal area! I fired some from my Glock 21 custom and they fed!!!

With no problem. Their trajectory matches the XTPs better than you'd think.

I mean we're not talking a 22-250 at 400 yards here.

These bullets are going to be great. That 1 in 10" twist with heavy bullets at modest velocity sure shoot good.
