What was the ranchers name with the frontend loader at the henrys
My nephews 6 of them live in hansville and spend alot of time on the henrys there is a gold mine there.

contact this rancher as he had 6 depredation tags for Bison that were damaging his property, tearing down fences and such. Myself and 5 friends flew out there and shot 6 big bulls. I think he charged us $600 per bull. The rancher got the meat and we got the hide and heads. But other than that I don't remember the rancher's name. Here are a couple of the other guys.Tom Thomasson shooting a 357 Magnum Contender rechambered to 358 Winchester. And John Charuhas with a 45-70 Contender. John's staggered across the little creek and sunk down to his belly in mud.

It was probably an Eker or a Mecham. My sister has lived in hanksville
For about 40 years i spent a few summers on the henrys and on the bears ears When i was about 14 had a brigstone motorcycle. My dad was working on construction in fry creek. That herd of buffalo was planted there about that Time early 1970s.

but were probably more scattered all over the ranch. The rancher had huge John Deere tractors and other big equipment and most of his trucks that we saw had holes in them where the Bison had rammed the trucks.

Anyone who thinks hunting buffalo is like hunting cattle needs to jump on a horse and try herding buffalo. Back 30 years ago when i was young we would try ( and i mean try) to help a rancher that had about 60 head
Keep his on a 360 acre farm. What chore that was had some real hairy
Experiences, He lived about 4 miles from my place and ever once
In awhile some of those critters would show up at our place.
He had the meanest electric fence i have ever seen around his place.

a ranch. A few were at the HHCs. A couple were at the Celebrity Handgun Hunt in Texas on the Y.O. Ranch and a couple on private "ranches". So I guess yes they were all taken on "ranches". None were taken at a petting zoo. I couldn't get the kids off them or make the people take the saddles off.
These 2 were at the Y.O. Ranch where I was field testing the 510 GNR. These were 2 cow bison, both maybe 850 lbs to 900 lbs.Both died within 20 feet of the other.I am not sure of these pics except that they were shot with my 510 GNR. I got the pics from a friend that was there with me. It may be the same buffalo.

I have been real lucky in that I have had the opportunity to hunt "problem" animals at the HHC in Tennessee. If they had some critter that was giving them trouble they asked me to have a talk with it. These were taken with either the 356 GNR, 41 GNR or 510 GNR. Most with the 41 GNR. And most of the meat off these animals were given to friends who needed some help.The 9" blue G-2 is the 41 GNR that most of these animals were taken with and every animal taken with the 41 GNR was a one shot kill. That cartridge works. The stainless G-2 is the 356 GNR and the revolver is the 510 GNR.

applied for a Buffalo hunt for a lot of years and never drew out. I did spend a little time there at a uranium mine and other short jobs. I worked on a lot on radio towers, but can’t stand it underground. I even want my ashes thrown in the air not buried in the ground.

Did you know any of the wells clan from hanksville. My brother in law
Dad bill wells used to land his plane on the state highway in front of his house and hanger it by his garage, back in the 60s and 70s before there
Was any traffic there.
