.375 diameter bullets?

For some reason I was poking around on the net looking at bullets for the 375 JDJ. Many years ago I bought a 375 Winchester Super 14 barrel and then had it rechambered to the 375x444 round.

I haven't shot the thing in some time but thought about possibly using it in the future.

My favorite bullet was the Hornady 220 grain flat point. In fact, I had killed a moose with it in New Hampshire many years back.

I was somewhat shocked to find that Hornady no longer makes the 220 grain flat point or the 225 grain Spizter style bullet. They make some kind of 250 grain copper bullet and then it goes up to the 270 grain spire point.

Just curious. Does anyone make a good 220 grain FP ? Thanks

I need to buy several boxes as they are often out of stock everywhere. Designed for the .375 H&H lightly loaded for deer and smaller game. I saw it expand well in the .375 GNR. It does great in the .378 GNR too.

Try the swift 250gr.

I had great luck with it in Africa last year in my 378 GNR.

Thank you all for the replies.

I was looking at other bullets but I heard some of them were too tough for the more sedate velocities of the 375 x 444 aka 375 JDJ.

I may play around with it this year. Again thanks.

I bought some 220gr from a guy that

makes the bullets you can't buy. He will make whatever jacketed bullet you desire. I got some 220gr RNFP jacketed made to expand at 375 Win velocity for my Reeder TC 375GNR. 31.00/50 and he stocks these. furycustombullets.com

I'm going to try them in my 38/55 levergun too
