Looking for a clean Star PD.

Can the slide be modified to accept Novak type sights, etc?

Here is one.

The adj. sights are somewhat small.

Would like a more modern, low profile, higher visibility sight. Drift adjustable is fine. A tritium "Dot the i " or figure eight 2-Dot would be nice.

I imagine you are S.O.L. The PD came out in '76, way

before the sights you are looking for. Even Jeff Cooper carried one on a daily basis. John Taffin and Jim Taylor both carry a PD. you would be hard pressed to beat it.

Besides .. who needs sights from bar stool to bar stool?

Or if you are a church-going man, stay in small churches. You do not have to shoot as far and the Star sights will be more than adequate.

I doubt seriously the slide can be changed at all.

The early PDs had fully adjustable sights. The later ones had sights that could be adjusted side to side.

45 or 10mm. Solid all steel and great guns. But not for everyday carry unless you are 6'15" and 385 lbs.
