With Gary’s permission I always post, come fish with us.
I know Mike won’t mind, and we all can have a good time. Ok some of you Misfits are thinking what is the deal. Well you right? I like to also hunt! So invite us to hunt, and we will invite you to fish hard. O and buy the way, at my house I will feed you! And probably buy all the alcohol. NOT CHEEP SHIT? Let’s take GUYS.
Where are you located?

Going on 2 full day charter boat trips Wednesday and Thursday providing the weather lets us here in California. Trying to book a Salmon trip in June or July to British Columbia! Always fish trout on the Upper Kern River north east of Bakersfield. Much rather fish the High Country lakes in Colorado though. Can't offer much hunting here though as it really SUCKS!!!!!
With all the personal drama going on in my life right now

I'm trying to plan a trip to South FL this early summer with my family. I would love to simply work out a plan to just stop and shake your hand on my way down. If I can work it into our schedules. Would always love to meet a fellow Misfit given the chance. We'd not be too far from from a truckload of Beverly Hillbillys. We like to go to Sanibel for a week or so if we can find someone to take care of our critters in our absence.
The beach a little below you that has fossilized shark teeth all over is another place I'd love to bum around for a good day. Simple pleasures of seining sand to find teeth would be great fun to me. My budget is strained enough just going down there for a week (about $4k turn key), so simple pleasures are plenty for me. The best way to get what you want is not to want too much. lol. That's what I teach my kids.
For all the bad things on the internet, the forum relationships that can develop are something new. It really didn't exist before. Not like this, it's more broad than finding a common interests (somehow) and corresponding via letters. But they got it done back in the day. It was more by chance and took much longer. Even travel has exponentially changed compared to Keith's day for example. Can you imagine driving out to "see" him in say 1955? Think of the cars, the roads?! At 75-80K miles the vehicle front ends were shot, the valvetrain, and crank bearings. When was the last time you fixed a flat yourself on the side of the road? LOL Life is short, but it seems you can pack more in these days if you are blessed with normal duration.
My first trip across the US

was in a 1936 Ford coupe with mechanical brakes. It was in 1947. I was 1 year old. I made a lot of trips across the country in "old" cars. Travel was an adventure.
Scotty, what month are you coming down?

We're gonna be at Venice beach for a bit in early June.
Otherwise, Rebecca and I live a couple hours north of Sanibel. Maybe we can plan a couple of hours time. Pete is about the same distance away
Very cool, working on it.

As you might remember my mother passed away a couple weeks ago. She left me most her possessions, the property including an angry stepdad, and brother. With instructions for me to try and take care of both! I have a whole bunch of stuff but little cash! I've been so busy with the final Estate Accounting and legal assistance. I'm working real hard at that but sorely need a vacation. It's on my to-do list.
We'll keep that penciled on the list for sure.
Venice Beach! That's it, the one with all the shark teeth laying about. I MUST check that out.
