Gotta be that time of year again.

About once a year I get a little hankering to shoot a few 265 gr. LBT-WFN-PB bullets out of the 455 GNR. This bullet has shot ok but never exceptionally well, just something different to play with once in a while.

Here are a couple targets, both shot at 30 yds., sitting with forearms resting on my knees. About as good as I have ever made this bullet shoot. First target with the HS-6 load and a plain base bullet went into 1 5/8". The second target was with its gas checked cousin of the same weight and IMR-4227. Into an 1 7/8.

About 2 months ago I received a call from Glen Fryxell saying a good friend of his had recently died and he (Glen) was helping with some of the estate. In some of the things was an older Lyman 4 cavity 454424 mould. Of all the 45 cal. moulds I have, I have never had a 424. That was taken care of as quick as I could get to Glen's house. In the last 2 months of having this mould I have probably shot 1,200 of these bullets in the 455 GNR, I will never be without one again.
