didn't want it to get buried. The "Weaver" side mounts had numbers on them. I think "N-*" etc. There were a couple different types, one stamped sheet like this "clone" and one that took a mounted "base" which received two larger QD thumb screws. The Weaver company was the stuff back in the day! The European mounts that compared to them were largely hand made and cost huge amounts even today. Doug's scope mount for the Kraut made Blazer rifle was like $500! Just the MOUNT.

This is some type of Weaver clone mount like Montgomery Wards or something like that. Many store brand .22's came with these and cheap scopes. The scope is actually a vintage B4 (4x15mm) and still works, although a little cloudy. The turrets used to have little rubber covers long since rotted away. Later ones had plastic push caps shaped like tear drops. I was saving it for maybe a BB gun, really. lol

On some old guns the best you can do is sketch the holes on paper and hunt at gun shows or seek accurate hole measurements for old stuff for sale on the net.
