Back from Africa. trying to get caught up on

almost 400 e-mails. Everyone had a great time. The area we hunted is one of the best I have ever hunted in. We were all blessed with great animals. Most were record book. John Abraham, besides being a good friend, worked his butt off to get me 4 animals that I didn't have and all 4 it looks like will go gold medal #1. A man couldn't ask for more than to ride around Africa with a good friend and be able to take the game I did. My guns and ammo did perfectly well on all 4 animals. Two shots on each was pretty much the norm. One to knock it down, an second to finish it off. One animal, the Tsessebe was shot a bit farther back than normal and it took an extra round to keep him down. I took a huge Cape Buffalo with the 450 GNR. John said by his records of SCI animals it is the largest Cape ever taken with a handgun. I was also lucky enough to get a great Red Lechwe, Bontebuck and the Tsessebe. The last 3 taken with the 310 GNR.
