Brent, what are typical .30 caliber bullet weights

you shoot through the 310 GNR? I’m thinking of that one or a 350 GNR. I have more bullets and a wider variety of .30 caliber bullets so the 310 gets the nod from a reloading supply standpoint.
I use 150 gr. Accubonds for Deer and Elk

Some people like to use 165gr or 180gr for Elk but I’ve used 150gr bullets in the 308win and 30-06 rifles for years and lately I’ve shot deer and Elk with the 310 GNR and 150gr Accubonds and they have always worked.

with 180s. But African animals are much harder to put down that any other animal I have ever hunted.

the opportunity to hunt Elk when I was younger and could get around better. I have used the 310 a lot on deer and feral hogs. A 150 grain accubond or a 165 grain seem to work best and produce one shot kills. ( I think I used Hornady bullets in 165 grain last time I reloaded that round but don't remember the exact bullet). I use the same bullet in my .308 loadings as well. For the win mag I move up to a 165 grain spitzer or boat tail if I can find them.

TTSX from Barnes, the give exceptional accuracy and are an very good choice on large deer and smaller elk. Its an all copper bullet with controlled expansion. A bit pricy but I think work as well as the trophy bonded I used to shoot
