I wanted to use the gun in Africa, but not push the limit.
Guide wanted me to take an Impala with it, but I opted to use my 356 GNR. One thru the lungs did it just fine.
What range were you considering taking

something with the 25-20? What range did you take the impala with the 356 GNR? I’ve often wondered what ranges things were taken at since there seems to be a variety of caiibers, big and .... less big.
I guess I’ve assumed game could be taken between 50Y out to 250Y. Is that a good ballpark?
For the 25-20, I'd take Springbok or Steenbok to 150 yds...

But, killed the Springbok at 83 yards. Our PH tried to get me to take 180 yard shot on Impala, but I declined.
We did stalk the Impala down to 120 +/- yards and I took it with the 356 GNR.
