I own 2 LAR 1911 Mark I .45 winchester magnums and I am looking forward to receiving in an AR-15 upper chambered for the same cartridge. I own a ruger stainless 5" barrel blackhawk chambered in .45 LC yet I would be very interested in obtaining an additional cylinder chambered in .45 winchester magnum. I have a very large quantity of this cartridge. Would machining a six shot cylinder in this chambering be within your capabilities? Perhaps out of 465 carpenter stainless steel to maintain margin of safety with the hotter round.....What price range would such a project be in?

I've seen Gry do like projects for $250-300.

It requires the gun so it can be properly fitted. A common .45 ACP reamer can simply be run deeper but I don't now how they uniformly make it stop. I did that for .460 Rowland but it was only one chamber and easy to precisely set headspace.

Gary and the guys are your boys to accomplish the task.

Ed, we are a licensed manufacturer with 2 full machine

shops and 6 guys working for me. We build our own guns from scratch so yes it can be done. Like Scotty said I will need your gun for the head space and test firing. It would be $250 plus the shipping back.
