ammo loaded up. I could set up and have some fun with the Cannon. I've researched it well on powder/loads, modern Fg (if you can get it) or coarse Pyrodex works too, don't now about the latest stuff. You typically use 1 oz. per "inch" of bore size, by volume, not weight. So that equates to about 1,000 gr. charge for my 2.5" bore rig. That means I get (7) shots to the pound. I cast balls from wheel weights at 2.3" and around 3# each. I video-chronographed the ball over a distance at an average of 1,000 fps, firing till impact.
I think the boys would really get a hoot out of it. Bob Denning brought a Mortar (I have one too) to HHC and it was fun. However I prefer balls to bras as ammunition, to each his own.
