Gary I have a Redhawk in .41 Mag. & thinking about the BRUTE. How much velocity would I lose if left in 41 Mag. or 410 GNR? Also what are the series of guns that you do the Python type barrels on?

favorite centerfire hunting handgun by far. I use 170 grain Sierra JHC's in it for the most part. That bullet is devastating. With a good cast bullet I wouldn't feel undergunned for anything in the Lower 48. Gary really covered most of the bases when he developed the .410 GNR. It is an exceptional medium game round with the 170 grain Sierra....flat shooting, very accurate, less recoil than a .44 Magnum, and it drops deer like they've been struck by lightning. Move up to a 250 or 255 grain hard cast bullet and now you have a hammer that eats up a .44 Magnum. One cartridge that is so versatile...for my money you can't go wrong with any of the .41's. Factory .41 Magnum, .41 GNR, or .410 GNR....all are great cartridges, just depends on what you want to do with it.
