into your living room window, then a cat pounces upon it. But you are able to save it's life and bring it in your home to nurse back to health. Hypothetically, since it's up to a $15,000 fine to try and help the bird! You can let the cat eat it, that's permissible from what I gather. But bringing it into captivity, even under the most honorable intentions breaks many serious laws.

The very intensive duty of feeding it every waking hour etc. MUST be managed by "licensed" (really?) rescue professionals. Whatever that is. Not sure if you are liable for the cat thing in light of that. Maybe if you tell them it's the neighbor's cat you'd be ok.

Anyway I think this guy will make it against all odds due to little Ellie Maye. It is an amazing example of God's creation and wonder.
