I've never seen a set of Buehler scope mounts and rings, until today. I purchased a ruger bisley from gunbroker this week and it arrived at my local gunshot today. I must admit that I had not paid close attention to the mounts that were holding the 2x leupold in place. The packaged was listed as a sale and not auction at a price that made the mounts a nonissue. I looked the photos of the gun over and hit buy without noticing the brand of mount and rings.

They look well made. Anyone have any experience with them? Any feedback good or bad is appreciated.

I have a set on my 6mm Ackley rifle

Mine are low rings and the front is positively held in place via stud/screw with the back ring a pinch type for windage I believe. The handgun mount may be the old equivalent of double dovetail but on a more socket and screw arrangement. Two rifle mount fronts? I remember their adds in the back of magazines as a kid. The finest scope mounts available, and he'd show them on 8-bore rifles and heavy kicking Weatherbys and such. The rings are vertically split with a top (and smaller bottom screw) and usually spacers at the top. Some of the finest made American mounts I remember.

Good stuff

My brother, God rest his soul, a career Marine, sniper and perfectionist luv'd them! This goes back a good long while so my info isn't current by any means. Several friends had them on their prize rifles and swore by them. Saw one set mounted and it was complicated, not something you'd want to be swapping casually as I remember but extremely well made...

Thanks all
