but not really any thinner than the .45 Colt Blackhawk. I guess it's OK, I know there is no special hardening sorcery. That has been tried before and is always problematic. All steel is pretty good in comparison today. You can only hot up a 10mm so much anyway (which is plenty) with the limited capacity. This platform is great as you can also shoot .40 S&W or seat those long and load 10mm loadings (super long) .40 S&W ammo, special for revolvers.
we did some numbers on it and I think it is fine.

We have done several of the GPs in 10mm and a few in 10mm Magnum, all in 6 shot cylinders. We have done a Security Six in 10mm and one in a 5 shot 10mm Magnum. Great little revolver with plenty of power.

Why would you buy a revolver in 10mm that matches/approaches 41 magnum ballistics? Why the fug wouldn't you just buy a 4i magnum revolver?? Getting 41 Magnum performance in a semi-auto I get. Running a semi-auto round through a revolver to match 41 magnum performance when 41 magnum revolvers and cartridges have been around for over 40 years I don't get. Maybe I'm slow but I just don't see why there would be a market for this. It seems like a solution for a problem that doesn't exist.

hottest round available in the GP. For the 41 mag, 44 spl or 44 mag in the GP you have to go custom.

Plus you can reload full moon clips (with lots of practice) very fast. Really handy too. You can fit (2) clips full of .40 S&W in one .41/44 speedloader pouch. The gun is mid frame size, too small for a .41 6-shot, but the 10mm gets close to .41 with a smaller gun.
