Yesterday I took the CA Bulldog out for a walk. The purchase included a hundred rounds of assorted factory and remanufactured ammo purchased in a LGS. Since it’s DAO, accuracy was just careful trigger control. I was able to shoot 4” groups at 7 yards rapid fire. The trigger is smooth and long and the gun is pretty light.
As the jacketed factory was depleted, I moved to the remanufactured stuff. It shot well, less recoil, lots of smoke and soft swaged lead bullets. Within 30 rounds the action locked up. I suspect it’s gummed up, I hope. I’ll break it down and clean thoroughly this weekend. As it was never previously fired, the factory oil in the action probably accumulated a lot of residue.
I’ll do what I can and try again next week. I’ll use Berry’s 240gr plated hp match bullets (I have them on hand) over 7gr of Unique unless someone has a better suggestion!
It’s all good....
