hunt before or after work like I did in the past. So for me it is Saturdays until 12 noon. Also for our other readers, no Sunday hunting in either Massachusetts or Connecticut.
So I have about seven hours on a Saturday to get a bird and the season ends May 26th
no Sunday hunting.....insane...another reason to leave

Many of the northeastern states are expecting a mass movement of people due to the taxation and regulation issue.
I have been looking at other states. I like some southern states but I do not handle heat and high humidity very well. Yesterday it was in the low 90's and somewhat humid. I felt crappy all day long. Then again two days before that the high temperature was 50 F.

regulations reasonable and weather not bad. No Sunday hunting here either except for crows, coyotes and groundhogs. I too can't handle high heat and humidity so the south is out. If I was going to move, it would be Idaho, Wyoming or Montana though. Maybe even South Dakota. The Black Hills area is awesome. Nothing on the east coast is appealing and certainly nothing on the west coast. Middle America is out too...no mountains anywhere. Corn fields, sunflower fields and hog farms for a thousand miles.
For my edification, why no hunting on Sunday?

passed a law declaring Sunday to be a general day of rest. So no hunting or business on a Sunday. That has changed over time but the ban on Sunday hunting is still in place.
