They are safe in Colt SAA. They are hard on Charter Bulldogs and other small-frame guns. I stretched a couple years ago. But out of the USFA single action they work quite well.

Thanks for mentioning not loading it for the Bulldog

I’m going to load some 44spec this weekend. I don’t have any cast bullets so I’m loading 7gr unique under 240gr plated hp

With heavy loads. Stick to standard velocities. The 44 starts out at the size you try to geta 38 to expand to.
