about individuals being able to ship guns to any FFL dealer or manufacturer and show it to the dealers that argue with you. We get guns in here every day from individuals and ship them right back to the owners when finished.

Am I reading this correctly? According to UPS even if i take the grip off or disassemble the unit, as long as the reciever is in the package it is a firearm and treated the same as a complete unit.

open it up and get huffy all they can do is not ship it. It's legal, they can enact their policy after the fact if they so choose. Ammo is listed as brass tubing parts on my shipments. Never had an issue. Mainly because I dont; talk about it or ask questions. Loose lips sink ships!

I don't know why the guys are being a hard ass unless their regional ATF guys are putting out policy BS. I get a good deal going on a GB sale and the receiving pitches a shit and gets the buyer all upset. More than once I've just ate the local fee to make it easier for all.
My LGS won't receive from a non-FFL.

they were told it's the law by their ATF reps. One dude called me just to chew on me. I told him he was full of prunes and he could have them call me personally! Anyone with a PC can look it up on the net. The practice is spreading and causing some, like me, heartburn.
Irv has a personal relationship with his FFL and likes the lady. I understand. Ditto my buddy down the road, I don't mind throwing him a few bucks when it is reasonable. But I don't like people spreading BS as fact.

she just won't do it. If I do a transfer (old/odd things she wouldn't have), she has to personally talk to the other FFL. It's just the way she does things. I do buy my new guns from her has she will look to find them and gives good prices. It's a trade off.
