Who is using what bullets in their 255 Banshee? My wife really took a liking to that one in Gary’s case.

.25-20 bullets give the best performance. Hornady makes

A 60 gr. JFP and Speer makes a dandy 75 gr. I also cast 65 and 80 gr. gas check bullets. Easily twice the power of a .22 WMR and such economy, 10-13 gr. powder. I have an 8-shot Bisley and 10" Contender in .255 plus a 12" Contender barrel in .240 Banshee! Walks all over the .22 K Hornet when you need something a little bigger.

Most "rifle" pointed bullets, even light varmint bullets, are made for much higher velocities and may not expand as dramatically as you'd hope/think.

For economy shooting while maintaining performance...

The 55 grain HP cast from GT Bullets work great in the 255 Banshee and 250 GNR.

that has been skillfully adapted to a 8-shot .255. I think the late .357 chassis would be a little more handy in retrospect. It sure holds steady and shoots well. The Contender barrel is a custom 10" on a 1974 chassis set up old school with 2.5X scope. This is a 100 yd. group. Velocity is about like a .22 WMR rifle while shooting 80 gr. bullets. They have some whack.

This is how you do it. Run a .22 Hornet through the .255 sizer to expand to .257", then load a .25 bullet this is a 60 gr., a fire formed case.

Keeping in mind that formed case is the same length...

As a 25-20. The necking up and fireforming shortens it a bit.

Using 25-20 bullets it fits into my Trail Gun window.

From the land of Melania Trump, I sadly

have not yet used my beautiful mould. It makes FNGC plus about (3) different versions of HP cavities. I think 60 gr. in .257". I always wanted a (3) cavity mould to play with. It's almost (almost) too pretty to use, like Melania!

I have to admit I too have not had a chance to use

the same mold that I got a year or so ago. There just doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day anymore.
