acres. Then they started selling it off in 10 and 20 acre ranchettes. When the Celebrity Handgun Hunt was in it's prime the ranch was down to somewhere around 35,000 acres. All the meat taken on the hunt was donated to the needy at Christmas and prizes were given out to those that shot the most unusual exotic, to the person that brought in the most meat in lbs, plus a lot of prizes in raffles. That was the good part.

But the cabins we stayed in were in terrible shape. They were old log cabins and the chinking between the logs had dried up and fallen out so it was damned cold in there. The hot water didn't always work. The toilets didn't always flush. Lots of problems like that. But the brothers that owned it were lawyers and such and they refused to put money into improvements. The prices for the handgun hunters kept going up and up until the high prices forced a lot of them out. In the last 3 or 4 years Taz Ridley, who did most of the work on the handgun hunt put me in charge of getting some new blood into the hunt. The hunters at that time were old fat farts that just came to enjoy the open bar and play cards all night. They didn't bid on any of the guns donated by Freedom Arms, Ruger, S&W, TC, Magnum Research and Kase and I. That was when I invited a lot of the Misfits on here. The hunt held 55 hunters and the last 3 or 4 years at least 25 to 30 of those 55 each year were regulars on here.

But unfortunately the hunt came to an end due to lack of support from the ranch owners.
