I was replacing an electric valve for a friends

Watering system and found an old 22 hidden between the studs in his shop. It is a Savage pump 22 model 1914. The stock is in pretty rough shape and the bluing is bad with some surface rust. Are they rare/common or valuable and worth fixing up. It’s the first one I’ve seen, but that doesn’t mean anything.
