horrible 300 million guns in the hands of crazy gun loving people. Well, they were slightly mistaken. Just since the NICS check went into effect in 1998 there have been almost 475 million guns run thru it and that doesn't count all the guns that were sold before 1998 and guns not on paper. All in all we are a very well armed society.
