Any of the Misfits who went to Africa in 17 having trouble with the Swift Transfer to SCS. My local bank says we need a US Corespondent Bank to complete the transaction. The contact at SCS doesn’t seem to understand but maybe I don’t understand. Help!!

I haven't done mine yet. I'll know tomorrow.

I do know I've dealt with two credit unions for Africa money wires and one is much easier to work with than the other.

Nate said he got the paperwork for the shipping and they

would take a wire transfer or credit card so he just paid with a credit card and bypassed the hassle. That is if this pertains to the shipping of your mounts to you.

Is it typical to get mounts 1.5 years from the hunt?

have always been delivered 8 to 10 months later. It all depends upon the hunter and how quick he responds to the notices that Life Form Taxidermy needs a deposit and to the notice that your mounts are done and you need to get with the shipper and customs folks. If you respond as soon as you get the notices you should get your mounts within 8 to 10 months max. I got a notice that Life Form needed my deposit about a month to 6 weeks ago and it was sent in. I figure I will get a call about them being done in September or October.

I guess credit card is the fastest form of payment?

$3000 back in '91.

It would be at least $10,000 today and a full mount Cape Buffalo with all the shipping would run me probably close to $20,000.

My mounts will be in Atlanta on Saturday
