Reeder Custom Guns - I'm a sucker for cute little things that go bang.

Ever since I was a kid I have been entranced with little pocket guns, they are so interesting. I have always liked Astras and bought a big coffee table reference book from Doug on them, which he now has back. LOL This little guy was laying in a corner with a $100 tag on it, who could resist. New grips are about $20 so no biggie. The mag is Astra but probably for another gun as its nickel or chrome. Neat grip safety and mag disconnector, a loaded chamber indicator too. Colt much later sold Astra "Cubs M2000" with exposed hammers and alloy frames under it's label. This is a M200 "Firecat" earlier model, made 1954. They made a good effort for something to stick in your pocket fully loaded to have some safe considerations.

It hearkens back to a different time, fun to experience and look back.

They also have a Bayard 1908 (upside down barrel and recoil spring) for $200. Not many even know what it is. Often to my financial downfall.

.25 cal. He beat me to the last blue one. I like the nickel one just fine. Perfect condition for active duty. Surprising how well they shoot, for a gun I can only get two fingers and a thumb on!

very popular with the Baby Browning leading the pack. The other Browning 25 autos were also popular as were several foreign brands in both the 25 and 32 calibers. Bankers, cops and little blue haired old ladies had them hidden away somewhere. I always have 2 or 3 stashed around the house. My favorite since the early '90s has been my Budischowsky 25 auto. Double action, all stainless and super easy to hide. The 25 auto isn't much punch but a lot better than throwing rocks. Back in the early 70s I was still in radio and had the morning show so I had the afternoons free. When I wasn't groundhog hunting with Larry Farley I was working at the local gun shop part time. The owner was very picky about what gun we carried. It has to be a 25 or 32. I carried a Mauser HSC in 32. Neat little gun. I carried it for several years then somewhere along the line I decided none of the college girls were going to attack and rape me (much to my despair) so I traded it off. But for the last 26 years my hide out pistol has been the Budischowsky.

The LGS that I worked in for years and no one would even look at it....coulda had it for a song. Was enamored with the Ppk and carried an American Ppks and a beretta jetfite for years. Later, a SW3914 and a Detonics mkVI. Still have all but the detonics...

Now a shield in 45acp and a sw BG in 380.

abundance while the 32s were a lot scarcer. I have also seen the 380s at $350 to $400 while the 32s were priced starting at $700 or so.

You have large hands. The powder charges are a pain to measure because you only use 1 to 2 grains of powder and a small variation can make a big difference. IMHO.
