was back. For some reason all the internet wannabe gun writers are bashing it. John Taffin sent me these this morning. If anything the new model is better than the old Model 19. I especially like the 6" model.

I still love that gun. Pete

What is the reason for the front sight being set rearward?

Looks like on the performance center version, it has a "power port vented barrel" for recoil management

Thank y’all.

It has a big chambered port in top for recoil management.

I sent it to Gary to swap the barrel for one without a port (8 3/8"). I have a 10" 44 mag barrel for my G2 that I want to put a brake on but have been holding off because of the noise level.

I have an older one with the 2 3/4" barrel, makes for an easy to conceal PPP. Taking it to Colorado this fall since I'll be in an area heavily populated with black bears, 180 gr. hard cast will be the load of choice.
