for the last 2 months we have been in a severe

drought. The National Forests have been closed and no shooting or hunting allowed due to the forest fire danger. Our monsoon season always starts around July 4th and it looks like it is going to be right on time this year. Heavy clouds are building up and some scattered showers here and there. The full monsoon should start this weekend if all goes as expected. That will ease the National Forest restrictions and we can again get out and do some Prairie Dog hunting. If it goes as expected we will get sunshine each day up til about 3 PM and then the rain starts and rains for 3 or 4 hours straight, cooling everything off. Hopefully we will have a normal Monsoon season now thru Labor Day. It is usually cool into September and then in mid to late October we get our first snow.
