grasses and natural food sources start drying up they tend to go into an almost summer time hibernation. They must do a little feeding at night, but from about the middle of July until generally some time in March you will not find a chuck out, and the lack of tracks and crap confirm this to me.

Also my work does not let me get out much from about the end of June until the 15th of September or so.
