of the road 2000 fps 300 grain ammo and did not really notice the difference between it and some 260 grain accubond that I had loaded for a higher velocity. My load was 71 grains RL15 with a large magnum primer and the 60 accubond. The velocity was 2700 fps and the recoil was a push rather than a sharp blow to your shoulder. As far as whether or not they are worth $4 per round--- NOPE. My load cost a whole lot less and is just as good. If you use woodleigh 300 grain solids or weldcore soft points you would not go wrong with those in .375 H&H so I would assume (rightly or wrongly) that .458 rounds would be the same in the recoil and velocity and performance of the Nyati verses your reloads. Just my experience with the Nyati in .375 H&H and I realize it is not the same as .458 lott or .458 win....
