Elmer Keith and Gil Hibben designed bowie knife. These knives were given in the 1960s as a premium for a subscription to Guns and Ammo magazine. Made in Japan and plainly marked on the left side of the blade near the hand guard, they were 9 3/4 inches overall length, had a 5-inch blade with a blood groove on each side of the blade, solid brass hand guard and hilt, aluminum spacers between leather washers on the handle. The knife came with a heavy scabbard, sculpted along the sewn and riveted edge and had a belt loop at the top rear side.
