Shoot, what's in a name...

I guess everything. I sent Paul the wrong dies. He needed .240 Raptor I send .240 Banshee. Close but no cigar. They went out today.

I sold a .17 Remington TC Contender barrel and had Gary do me a .240 Raptor tube to play with 55 gr. 6mm slugs. So when it came in I bought some 105 gr. Hornady and went after hogs at HHC. (A typical about face in my planning) It shot great but I pegged a Muntjac instead with a revolver. I later worked up some 85 gr. BTSP Serrias to a nice 2600 fps load. It was sort of my do-it all, lightweight, interesting barrel, to replace my limited purpose .17 tube. Everyone else was working with the .257 so I wanted to be different.

Later I got a .240 Banshee barrel for the Contender and was amazed at the speeds possible with efficiency and so little powder. The 55-70 gr. class on a improved Hornet case were faster than the .255 Banshee I loved so much. So I had room for both, toying with more cast bullets in the .255 and jacketed projectiles primarily with the .240 Banshee. Really amazing what you can do with only 12-13 grs. of powder.

Pulling from a rack with about 100 mixed caliber dies you can see my easy faux-paus. I'm doing good to put them back in the correct boxes.
