Reeder Custom Guns - Reloading Question, Gary, WB, Sean, anyone

Looking for a load in the 410 GNR using 4227 powder and either the 250 or 255 grain Cast Pref bullets. I have been shooting H110 and getting good results but being a student of Scotty and applying the waste not want not theory, I have a couple pf lbs of 4227 I would like to burn up before its older than JT. Any help ?

4227 performed well in both, I noted less unburned granules with the use of magnum primers. All loads were very accurate, velocities are just a bit less than hot W296/H110 but seem more consistent over variations in temperature. It's easy to find a load your gun likes with 4227. Begin with top end .41 Magnum loads and work your way up. You know the drill.

4227 is also useful in the "Raptor" and "Banshee" line of rounds as well as .22 Hornet, .357, .41, .44, .45 Colt. It's good stuff, meters well. Cornered I have to admit it can be a little dirty in SOME caliber applications but so can 2400. I'd say overall 4227 is cleaner than 2400.

Over the max 296 load with 4227. Your mileage may very.

I too am using up what I have. Velocity is less, but so is recoil or so it seems to me

I don't have a .410 GNR, but a .41 GNR and .429 GNR

You can use starting load data as the H110/196 and work up!

I find in 410 and 41GNR#2 I end up about a grain

Have used 4227 in my .410 at about the 296/h110 charge level
