Reeder Custom Guns - The plan for today is to do some

44 magnum loading. I have a ton of 265 grain cast lead bullets with a gas check.

I looked through my reloading manuals and other information but I cannot find a good medium power load for that bullet.

My intention is to make a large batch of ammo for Dad's reworked M29 five screw and I do not want to pound the daylights out of it with high pressure loads or extra heavy bullets.

I am thinking of using a load consisting of 15 grains of Alliant 2400 under the 265 grain lead bullet. I am going to assume that the load will not beat the gun.

Any input is welcomed.

is a 255g swcgc using 1 more grain than what your thinking of using .if I remember right it went aprox 1050-1100 fps out of a 45/8 sbh
