"I have a few boxes but always deferred to the 325 hunting. Last 2 boar I shot at HHC, I used the 325 GD and had compete pass through at 480R load levels. Saw these but was unsure if they were just for deer or could be used on hogs in the 300lb range.

Sorry for the late reply.... I felt the same as you when I first saw these bullets...The short for caliber length and light weight bullet did not make for what was being loaded in 475 handguns at the time until a friend shot a whitetail and a 200/250 size Florida boar... he recovered one bullet that showed perfect expansion and he used Speer`s factory 480 Ruger ammo loaded with the 275... I then loaded this bullet to 480 specs and was pleased with its performance on the average size boar I shot...For a 300 pound pig I would try for a broadside or 1/4 away shot....
