Several years ago a guy walked into a LGS here in Fort Worth
and asked to see a pistol. The man behind the counter, who we
called Pop was 90+ at the time. When the guy started loading the gun Pop retreated to his 2 loaded revolvers he kept behind the counter. A S&W 38 special and a S&W in 38S&W as I recall.
He came up shooting with both hands and the perp ran around the store ducking and dodging. When he reached the far side, Pop put 1 round barely to his right, 1 barely to his left and
one right above his head. As he turned to go out the door he shot the sunglasses out of his shirt pocket. I like to think he gave up a life of crime.
