Had and important reminder today on the value of a good

crimp. Many years ago, before I started reloading I bought some lead 9mm remanufactured from an LGS. Finally remembered them and put them through my Glock 27 with an aftermarket 9mm bbl. Worked well with a few ftf. Then the real surprise slide slams closed, click, nothing. Wait an appropriate time and rack the slide, well try to, no go. Drop the mag and finally after a lot of finagling, get it apart. Cannot get the bbl out of the slide however. Finally did and powder and brass came out with the projectile stuck in the end of the chamber. After I got home a tiny tap and it was out, not a mark on it. Must have had no crimp whatsoever. I threw the last 20 or so in the trash. Now I know why I have always checked the crimp closely. Never had that issue with my reloads.
