Reeder Custom Guns - Ukrainian Wood Grips...

I've had a small issue with these grips expanding due to the extreme humidity difference between Arizona and Louisiana.

So, I took the grips off and honed them down to fit.

I decided to try some True-Oil on them to see if it would seal them better for our 90% humidity.

What a difference. It completely absorbed and changed the color.

Applying very thin coats, allowing to dry, then polish with an old towel. Can't believe the change.

today could be trimmed with scissors. I know you have a hard time not fiddling with stuff anyway, it's yours, enjoy!

As a few minutes here and there getting grips, screw heads or some silly something just right.

The kind of stuff Smiths won't do. It would be cost ineffective to pay someone to sit and jack with stuff I do.

that said it was a "Stock Sheen & Conditioner", basically a ultra fine wet grit. You in essence wet sand or polish the hardened Tru-oil finish layers to a mirror glass quality. If you have OCD tendencies and time you can make it so slick you can hardly hold onto it. It ends up looking like you can dive right in. You might like it.
