handed person. Your cocking thumb is on the left side of the hammer and that is where the cockeyed part is. That is sort of like the hammer extensions on marlins and Encores and such. Quite often a right handed person will naturally put the cocking piece on the right side of the hammer and he has to contort his hand to reach it. Whereas if the cocking piece was on the left side of the hammer it would be a lot more natural.
