WB has loaned me his 240 Raptor and after some ff loads a few weeks ago I loaded up some 70gr Noslers and the old Sierra 80gr SSP's. While I didn't "kill" any critters with them it was quite reactive on 1 gallon jugs of water. Literally obliterated them. What's nice is there is very little recoil with a 13in barrel. Had a 6tcu in the past but this has more power in a light recoil package.
WB thanks again for the loan! I will load them one more time as I have a few 6mm bullets left. May have to consider one of these. I shot about an inch at 50 off a saw horse. You should have seen that setup. P

I had tried several calibers for a enjoyable

small bore fun gun. I had a .17 Remington which was fun but limited in actual use. The .22 K-hornet is a delight, as are the .255 Banshee and 240 Banshee (which really surprised me). The .240 Raptor much like a 6mm Rifle. It is a good notch above .22 center-fires and can be stretched to a much greater range of use. Is it a Mule Deer or Black Bear caliber, NO, not for me. But it will do fine for whitetails and like sized game under reasonable conditions. Also it has sufficient velocity to shoot plenty flat and allow good distance with less concern for trajectory changes.

A bullet range from 55 gr. to 105 gr. (more so than the fun little .240 Banshee, limited in capacity) the bigger Raptor shares a valid place in my barrel lineup.

I've had a 6tcu in the past and 4198 was awesome in that caliber so I tried it on the Raptor. Meters a little poorly but shoots good.
