G2 Pachmayr Grip Screw

Can anyone tell me what thread size and length screw I need for a Pachmayr grip on a g2? The screw that came on my walnut grip is too long.

That screw includes a swivel stud. So for a regular screw it will likely be trial and error.
Shim it with washers?

Until you can get the correct one.
Just grind it down on a sanding wheel

G2 Pachmayr uses a 3/4" 10-40 cap socket screw, walnut grip needs a 2 1/4" . PS i think they thought it was initially gonna be a holdup at the hardware store when I took the frame out to try the screws! They'd have really sh*t a brick if I had left the barrell on!
That woulda been alot of washers!
